Pia Salvia Duo Concert (Pop & Jazz)
Pacific Harps is excited to invite you to a harp workshop and a concert by the amazing harp, voice and percussion duo - Pia Salvia and Noam Israeli.
Pia Salvia, Belgian harpist and singer, is a unique artist in the world of modern harp. She is one of those artists who incorporate the classical harp in various styles of music outside of the classical tradition. Salvia graduated from Berklee College of Music in 2017, where she met Noam Israeli. She is also an educator and travels around the world presenting her master class program for harpists.
Noam Israeli is a drummer, producer, and educator currently residing in Los Angeles. Israeli always had a passion for music, playing different instruments, and made drums his main instrument at the age of 13. He was a finalist in the 2012 Thelonious Monk Competition and graduated from Berklee College of Music with a Master's degree in music performance and production.
In the harp workshop, participants will explore the harp outside of the classical world, learning different rhythms and grooves in a pop and jazz style. All harpists are welcome to join.
In the concert, Salvia and Israeli will present original compositions and different arrangements, merging elements of Jazz, Pop and World music. The performance will feature the harp paired with voice and percussion, emphasizing the diverse textures and moods this instrumentation can create.
